Since our founding in 1983, Affirmative Investments has specialized in the development of affordable housing.   Our projects have included rental and for-sale properties, homes for families and active elders, assisted living communities for the frail elderly, and service-enriched housing for the homeless and people with mental and physical challenges.

Affirmative Investments has been recognized for its work in affordable housing by a wide range of organizations including the Sierra Club, which named the 10 and 12 Summer Street project in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts as one of America’s best new development projects, and the National Building Museum in Washington D.C. which featured Auburn Court in an exhibit on good design in affordable housing. More information on the awards that our affordable housing projects have won can be found on the News & Awards page.
